Short version: no tracking, no ads, no selling your data.

Browsing this site
- We don't use analytics, ad trackers, tracking pixels or cookies.
- Everything (fonts, images and scripts) is served from this site itself. Your browser doesn't contact Google Fonts, social networks or ad companies when you visit.
- Like almost every website, the hosting company may keep short-lived technical logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to run and protect the service. We don't use them to profile visitors.
Email sign-ups
The sign-up form sends your first name and email address to Mailchimp, our email provider, so we can send you campaign updates by email. You have to tick the box that says "Send me campaign updates by email" before the form will send.
- Double opt-in: Mailchimp emails you a confirmation link. You're only added to the list after you click it.
- Unsubscribe any time: every email has an unsubscribe link, or email press@kontrav3rsi.com and we'll take you off the list.
- Nothing else is stored: this website doesn't keep a copy of your sign-up, and the form asks for nothing beyond your first name and email. (Like any email provider, Mailchimp keeps a record of when you confirmed, as proof that you asked to join.)
- What we don't do: we don't sell or rent your email, and we don't text you.
Volunteer sign-ups
If you fill in the volunteer form, we receive what you type: your name, email, state, skills, hours per week and any message.
- What it's for: to contact you about volunteering and to match you with tasks and other volunteers in your state.
- What we don't do: we don't sell or rent it, and we don't add you to anything else without asking.
- How it's sent: Pressing the button opens your own email app with your answers filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send there.
- Who sees it: the campaign team handling volunteers.
- Getting it removed: email press@kontrav3rsi.com and we'll delete it.
Emailing us
If you email us, we get your email address and message, and use them to reply.
Videos
Episode players on this site load nothing from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that player. Links to our social accounts take you to those sites.
The MicroVote demo
MicroVote is an unscientific demo: unofficial, advisory polls.
The demo at demo.kontrav3rsi.com is a separate app. It stores the demo username you pick and a public voting key. Your private voting key stays in your browser. Demo ballots are posted to the public XRP Ledger test network, where anyone can see them, so don't use your real name as a demo username.
